Bratislava Integrated Transport Gathers User Feedback for Mobile App Redesign
Bratislava Integrated Transport (BID) has launched a survey to assess user needs as options like biking and walking. The initiative aims to integrate complementary shared mobility services and new ticket options in the mobile app IDS BK.
The survey is a key step in a complete app redesign aimed at making it more interactive and user-friendly. The planned improvements are expected to align with customer expectations and demands, ensuring that the new features meet the daily needs of commuters.
The development and testing of these new services are being carried out as part of the Active2Public Transport project, which is supported by the Interreg Danube Region Programme and co-funded by the European Union.

Currently, the IDS BK mobile app is widely used for city and regional transport in the Bratislava region. With almost 412,000 users, the app provides a convenient platform for purchasing tickets, planning routes, and accessing real-time travel information. In 2023 alone, IDS BK facilitated the transportation of over 326 million passengers, with more than 171 million passengers using its services in the first half of 2024.
The app’s current offerings include prepaid travel cards, single-journey tickets with a 10% discount, virtual bus stop boards, route maps, and timetable information. The anticipated update will not only maintain these features but will also add new mobility options and integrated ticketing solutions, making it easier for users to switch between various modes of transport across the region.
As the operator of the app, BID remains committed to enhancing the travel experience for commuters, and this survey marks a crucial step toward that goal. By listening to user feedback, BID aims to deliver an app that truly meets the evolving mobility needs of the Bratislava region.
