Final Conference of Active2Public Transport, Ljubljana, 1–3 June 2026

We are pleased to invite you to the Final Conference of Active2Public Transport (A2PT), hosted in Ljubljana on the invitation of the Slovenian Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy. A2PT brings cycling, walking and public transport together as one connected mobility experience and combines policy work, stakeholder cooperation and real-life testing across the Danube region. The project shows in practice how better station access, secure bike parking, bike-friendly public transport, integrated ticketing, journey planning and multimodal tourism offers can support more sustainable travel.

This event is especially relevant for public authorities, transport and mobility organisations, infrastructure and service providers, sectoral agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders interested in practical ways to improve the link between active mobility and public transport.

For external stakeholders, the key programme starts on 2 June at 13:30 and continues throughout 3 June 2026 in Ljubljana. These sessions are designed to present the project’s main results, share practical lessons from pilot actions and discuss how tested solutions can be transferred to other places and contexts.

The event will connect strategic framing and practical examples. A2PT has been presented as a strong example of how mobility strategies can be translated into action, and the Ljubljana event will show what that looks like in concrete terms: tested measures, implementation lessons and tools that others can use.

Participants will gain:

• insight into tested A2PT solutions from across the Danube region,

• access to the A2PT Toolbox and A2PT Policy Brief,

• practical examples that can inspire replication in other cities and regions,

• opportunities to exchange with project partners, strategic partners and wider mobility stakeholders.

The Transnational A2PT Working Group Meeting will focus on:

• launch of the A2PT Toolbox and A2PT Policy Brief,

• key lessons from pilot implementation,

• capitalisation, synergies and future cooperation,

• site inspection of the new multimodal hub in Ljubljana and a walk along Miklošičeva street.

3 June 2026

VENUE: Kolodvorska 11, 1000 Ljubljana

The A2PT Final Conference, organised as part of the Slovenian National Cycling Conference on World Bicycle Day, will highlight:

• active mobility and public transport in the context of the climate and energy crisis,

• international expert input,

• concrete examples such as bike boxes, bike carriage on buses, integrated ticketing, street transformation measures, bike testing schemes and the A2PT Online Toolbox.

As side events, internal project meetings will also take place on 1 June 2026 in the afternoon and on 2 June 2026 in the morning.

Participation in the public event is free of charge. Accommodation and travel should be arranged by participants individually and at their own expense.
