Local Action Plans in Action - Nyíregyháza

Let's start to showcase each partner’s progress with their Local Action Plan (LAP)! Our first step is Nyíregyháza, Hungary.

What makes a city a great place to live AND work?

In Nyíregyháza, we believe the answer lies in strong local partnerships, attractive career opportunities and a labour market that leaves no one behind. Through the #ANCHOR project, we have developed our Local Action Plan together with local employers, education and training institutions, employment services and civil society organisations. The plan aims to strengthen local labour market cooperation, retain and attract young talent, promote inclusive employment, and better align education and training with employers’ needs.

Now it's time to turn our plans into action! Our next steps focus on two pilot initiatives:

- Bringing the city and local employers together to make Nyíregyháza a more attractive place to work and build a career.

- Helping employers create more inclusive workplaces and improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

By testing practical solutions and learning from local experiences, we aim to build a stronger, more inclusive and future-ready labour market for Nyíregyháza and its surrounding region.
