Local Action Plans in Action - Valjevo
Valjevo Builds a More Connected and Inclusive Labour Market
Valjevo is taking an important step towards a more connected and inclusive labour market. Under the ANCHOR project, local partners have completed a Local Action Plan for 2026–2027, shaped through meetings and consultations of the Local Labour Market Forum (LLMF), a growing partnership of local institutions and organisations.
The plan’s two pilot actions, “Valjevo Works – Open Workplace Days” and “Step Towards Employment – Practical Support for Jobseekers,” will connect young people and jobseekers with local employers and provide practical support with CVs, job searching, digital skills and interviews.
They complement a wider range of partner activities: employment measures, career guidance, training and job fairs through the National Employment Service; dialogue with employers through the Regional Chamber of Commerce; career and entrepreneurship support for young people through the Office for Youth; career guidance and work placements through the Academy of Applied Studies; and employer-linked vocational learning through Valjevo Technical School’s Training Centre.
The LLMF will continue to coordinate partners and monitor progress. With the pilots set to begin in October 2026, Valjevo’s partners are ready to turn the plan into new opportunities for local people and businesses.
