Ready for the first partner meeting

The ANCHOR project kick-off meeting is about to begin in Nyíregyháza, where the Lead Partner is eagerly waiting to welcome the project partners.

On 24-25 June, 12 partners from 8 countries – joined by 7 associated strategic partners – will gather to launch a transnational collaboration aimed at improving labour market governance in the Danube Region.

The ANCHOR project addresses a pressing challenge: while some regions suffer from labour shortages, others face long-term unemployment – often worsened by demographic decline, brain drain from small and medium-sized cities, and the marginalisation of vulnerable groups.

Our mission? To strengthen institutional capacities and foster integrated governance structures that can effectively respond to the negative impacts of demographic change on labour markets.

From developing transnational strategies and local action plans to piloting innovative tools and co-creating practical guides for replication – the ANCHOR project lays the groundwork for more inclusive, coordinated, and sustainable labour market systems across the region.

Together, we aim to anchor resilience in our labour markets for a more inclusive and prosperous Danube Region.
