Field mapping training in Romania, Jun 2025

Within the project CLIMANATRES, during the Jun 2025, we have successfully realized field mapping training which was held in Southeastern Romania and lead by Paulina Anastasiu, representative of Bucharest University, which is one of 11 Climanatres project partners. This activity was realized with participation of vegetation ecologists from Romania and Bulgaria as well as with participation of representative of the project lead partner - HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research. For our group, this was opportunity, to visit wonderful species rich steppes and forest steppes while gaining insight in mapping method to be applied in CLIMANATRES. While key point of the approach was shared, fruitful discussions also followed that help to fine-tune mapping guidelines and harmonize habitat type identification approaches.
