Project CLIMANATRES field training in mapping vegetation and start of mapping campaign in Istria
A short field training in vegetation mapping was organised in Istria in cooperation between two project partners - Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU) and Centre for Ecological Research HUN-REN. Training took place in flysch hills of central Istria. Participants familiarised themselves with methods of field mapping. Additionally to field training, activities encompassed ascertainment and identification of presence of vegetation types. During field activities, one 1 km2 was mapped in complete detail, where we found 14 vegetation types at EUNIS classification level 4.
