Budapest is calling! CultHeRit Final Conference

CultHeRit - INTERNATIONAL ADVOCACY EVENT AND CLOSING CONFERENCE
Theory and practice: young professionals in the cultural heritage and museum sector

Petőfi Literary Museum, Conference Hall
16 Károlyi Mihály Street, 1053 Budapest, Hungary
Wednesday, 17 June 2026

The CultHeRit project started at the beginning of 2024 as an international collaboration to assess the needs of young professionals in the cultural heritage sector and to introduce an employment model that supports them in finding long-term positions within institutional frameworks.

Over the course of this collaboration, project participants advertised institutional positions for young employees who worked there for a year. Throughout the process, new hires were supported by an in-house mentor.
The conference brings together cultural heritage protection and museum experts, directors, and young professionals, and focuses on the theory and practice of integrating young professionals in the cultural sector.
The international conference is organised by the HNMPCC Museum of Applied Arts Budapest, within the framework of the CultHeRit (DRP020063) Interreg Danube Region Programme.
