The Launch Conference of the Danube4SEecosystem project, organized in Romania

              On the 22nd of April, South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency (SMRDA) organized, as the Lead partner, the Launch Conference of the Danube4SEecosystem Project (D4SEE) in Sinaia – Romania.

               The event was attended by 80 participants in the Danube region, namely representatives of the project consortium, representatives of the Joint Secretariat of the Danube Region Programme in Hungary, the Romanian National Agency of the Danube Region Programme, local public authorities, academia and social entrepreneurs.

               The agenda of the event was opened by Mrs. Daniela Traian, director of the Development Department, South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency, who presented the Agency's role in regional development and involvement in international projects. Also, during the meeting, the objectives of the program at the international level but also in Romania were described by Alina Mihalache, on behalf of the Romanian National Agency of the Danube Region Programme. The D4SEE project and its implementation planning were introduced by Mrs. Monica Măgureanu, Head of Affaires and Project Department within the South Muntenia RDA.

               In the second part of the conference, were presented best practices in the field of collaboration between social enterprises and local public authorities, as well as the integration of vulnerable groups into the labour market. The agenda continued with panel discussions, the main topic being social enterprises and the support ecosystem in the Danube region and how they can be supported by local public authorities.

               The event continued on the 22-23 of April, with the D4SEE Project Steering Committee Meeting and Kick off the project activities during which were discussed the implementation of activities, next steps and targeted results.
