Danube4SEecosystem Seminar & Study Visit – Maribor, Slovenia

On 20 May 2025, project partners attended the Project seminar and partners meeting in Maribor, Slovenia, hosted by the University of Maribor, Faculty of Economics and Business. The event brought together representatives from all partner countries and included expert presentations, strategic discussions and networking activities.

The seminar opened with introductory remarks highlighting the importance of a supportive environment for social enterprises, examined from both regional and national perspectives. Various viewpoints were presented on how organizations contribute to accelerating the development of social entrepreneurship. Practical insights from the field were also shared, focusing on support mechanisms for social enterprises at the local and regional levels.

The agenda included a project partners' meeting dedicated to reviewing progress and planning future activities. A strategic coordination meeting was also held.

The event successfully facilitated knowledge exchange, strengthened collaborative networks, and supported the advancement of the project's strategic goals in the Danube region.

On 21 May 2025, during the second day of the Danube4SEecosystem Seminar & Study Visit in Maribor, participants engaged with real-life examples of sustainable and socially inclusive practices:

• A visit to a social farm that uses organic agriculture to empower vulnerable groups and enhance community resilience.

• An exploration of innovation at a creative laboratory designed for makers, innovators, and social entrepreneurs.

• A meeting with a cooperative promoting local supply chains and ethical food production.

A truly inspiring day filled with ideas and partnerships for a greener, fairer future!
