Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska Participated in the Constituent Session of the Council for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship

The Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska took an active part in the constituent session of the Council for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, held on July 3, 2025, at the premises of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska. The establishment of the Council represents an important step in institutionalizing support for social entrepreneurship, which has the potential to contribute to sustainable economic development, inclusive employment, and social cohesion.

During the session, the Danube4SEecosystem project was presented. The Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska is implementing this project as the only partner from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with institutions from nine countries of the Danube region.

As part of its previous activities, the Agency initiated the development of the Social Entrepreneurship Strategy of the Republic of Srpska for the period 2025–2031, the first strategic document that will lay the foundation for systematic support to this form of entrepreneurship. In addition, training sessions are planned for social enterprises and local self-government units, aimed at strengthening their skills and organizational capacities.

In the upcoming period, workshops will be organized within the project to identify common challenges in the field of social entrepreneurship and to develop concrete solutions adapted to local needs.
