The Republic of Srpska is getting a strategy for the development of social entrepreneurship

The Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska, within the framework of the project "Enhancing the development of Social Economy by engaging Local Public Authorities in the Social Enterprises supporting Ecosystem for a more inclusive Labour Market in the Danube Region" – Danube4SEecosystem, organised the third stakeholders meeting on March 19, 2025.

During the meeting, representatives of social enterprises from the Republic of Srpska, local public authorities, local development agencies, the Union of Social Enterprises of the Republic of Srpska, and the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship discussed the activities implemented within the project as well as future activities, including the preparation of the Strategy for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Srpska, the signing of partnership agreements, and the organisation of training for social enterprises and local public authorities in the Republic of Srpska.

It was announced at the meeting that the strategy will be adopted by the end of 2025, and the formation of the Council for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska was also announced.

Participants of the meeting particularly emphasized the importance of establishing a strategic framework for the development of this area, as well as future support programs for the development of social entrepreneurship.
