The second Policy Learning Dialogue and Knowledge Transfer Workshop

As part of the Danube4SEecosystem project, which aims to strengthen the social economy by involving local public authorities to create a more inclusive labor market, the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska hosted the second Policy Learning Dialogue and Knowledge Transfer Workshop in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on October 24-25, 2024. All project partners participated in the event. 

The opening address was delivered by Vojin Mitrović, Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, who emphasized the region’s commitment to advancing social entrepreneurship through dedicated laws and regulations. Marinko Đukić, Director of the Development Agency, expressed confidence that the project would support the development of local strategies and programs to strengthen social enterprises.

Monica Magureanu, project coordinator from South-Muntenia Regional Development Agency, Romania, highlighted the importance of collaboration with local authorities to increase the competitiveness of vulnerable groups in the labor market.

Throughout the event, discussions covered the priorities of the Danube Region Strategy for an Inclusive Social Economy Ecosystem, along with examples of best practices in social entrepreneurship within the Republic of Srpska.
