Treasure hunt with a circular twist!
The DECORATOR project continues to explore and test new ways of connecting advanced technologies, cultural heritage and sustainable design to support the circular transformation of the built environment across the Danube Region.
On 30 September 2025, students of the Cultural Heritage Studies program at the University of Nova Gorica took part in a very special treasure hunt — organised as part of our project, led by the University of Nova Gorica.
But instead of searching for gold, participants were looking for something even more valuable: good practices of circular economy in the local environment. 💡

Through playful exploration, students discovered how principles of reuse, innovation and sustainability are already being applied in Nova Gorica. The activity also introduced the cross-border collaboration with the Italian side within the framework of the European Capital of Culture 2025, highlighting the EPIC space as an inspiring place where culture, creativity and circular thinking come together. 🤝

The treasure hunt was more than just a game — it was a reminder that the transition to a circular built environment starts with awareness, curiosity, and people willing to see things differently. ♻️
