Green-Tex Pilot 3 Showcases Circular Fashion in Postojna

On September 2, 2025, Postojna in Slovenia hosted a unique event, a Green Fashion Show that brought together designers, students, and sustainable fashion enthusiasts from across the region. The show aimed to demonstrate how discarded textiles and natural materials can, through creativity and innovation, be transformed into modern, wearable creations.

The runway featured collections inspired by the principles of the circular economy, with a focus on reuse, recycling, and resource conservation. The audience had the opportunity to see original garments made from recycled materials, wool, and other natural fibers, encouraging a more responsible approach to fashion and the environment.

The event was organized by Municipality of Postojna and Nativa Institute within the framework of the Green-Tex project, as part of Pilot Activity 3, dedicated to the green transition and raising awareness about the importance of slow fashion. In addition to the fashion show, workshops for young designers and discussions with experts in sustainable design were also held.

The Green Fashion Show in Postojna once again confirmed that fashion can be innovative, aesthetic, and environmentally responsible at the same time.

The Green Fashion Show in Postojna gave a glimpse of a future beyond fast fashion, where creativity and fun, responsibility and beauty are woven together. Grateful to the Green-Tex project, Slovenian project partners and designers and all the creators who shaped this vision together.
