Two workshops in Postojna
In Postojna, two workshops were held in December by our Slovenian partners (Municipality of Postojna and Nativa Institute), where we explored the world of hand and machine embroidery, patches, pins and direct embroidery on clothing.
With small but thoughtful interventions, old or forgotten clothes were given a new life – and a new meaning.
The following topics were addressed at these two hands-on workshops: covering holes and stains, adding personal inscriptions, symbols, and illustrations, and creating recycled textile pins and patches. Throughout the process, we also reflected on what we are actually communicating to the world through our clothes.
The workshops were a space for creativity, learning, knowledge exchange and discussion about sustainable fashion – without rushing, with hands in the material and minds full of ideas.
Each piece became a bearer of a story, opinion or mood.
