Event “Fashion Without Waste” – Sustainable Fashion as a Way of Life organized by SERDA

On November 13, 2025, the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency (SERDA) successfully hosted the event “Fashion Without Waste”, bringing together students, high school pupils, local designers, and artisans to promote a sustainable and environmentally responsible future for the textile industry.

The event was organized within the framework of the Green-Tex Project – Enhancing Danube Green Textile and Clothing Production and Consumption, led by SERDA as the lead partner under the INTERREG Danube Region Programme.

💡 Through a creative challenge, participants showcased innovative ways to transform old clothing into new, useful, and aesthetically appealing products — highlighting the principles of circular economy and responsible consumption.

📚 A special addition to the event was the Future Labs activity from the CIRCLE MED project, where participants explored the 10R hierarchy of the circular economy through the interactive game eRRRando, learning how everyday habits — from refusing unnecessary purchases to reducing consumption and extending product lifespan — directly impact waste reduction.

🤝 The event demonstrated the importance of collaboration, education, and creativity in transitioning toward a more sustainable model of textile production and consumption.
