First transnational workshop in Bulgaria

On 12. 05. 2026, the first transnational workshop of the InDiMaND project was held in Bulgaria, focusing on joint preparedness and disaster response.

Representatives from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Croatia worked together on developing a scenario focused on wildfire risk analysis and population evacuation.

During the workshop, participants exchanged expertise, analyzed operational challenges, and discussed practical solutions for coordinated actions in crisis situations.

The main focus was placed on cross-border cooperation in the Danube Region, realistic scenarios, and improving disaster preparedness and response capacities.

Cooperation between institutions, experts, and volunteer organizations is key to ensuring faster, more effective, and more coordinated responses when every second counts.

The InDiMaND project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg Danube Region Programme 2021–2027 and is co-funded by the European Union.
