Cooperation is key to tackling microplastics!

Project MicroDrink recently joined two online events to connect with microplastic researchers from the Danube Region: the Kick-off meeting of the Aquatic Plastic Interreg DRP project and Microplastics Days, an event bringing together leading microplastics researchers organized by University of Ljubljana Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology.

These events were a fantastic platform to strengthen relationships and establish new connections.

The Interreg Danube Region Programme encourages synergy building and capitalisation between projects. This means working together to share and advance knowledge, streamline efforts, and amplify the impact of our work.

Project MicroDrink can learn from experiences and best practices of other experts by collaborating with project teams of various projects, institutions and researchers dealing with microplastic pollution to advancing knowledge and expertise in microplastic research, and contribute our own findings to the collective effort of reducing microplastic pollution in the Danube's water resources.

Together, we can achieve more!
