NONA at International Carbon Neutrality Summit 2025 in Cluj-Napoca Romania

C-EDU and Urbasofia, part of NONA consortium participated in the International Carbon Neutrality Summit 2025, a key event dedicated to the ambitious efforts of European cities in achieving climate neutrality. As part of this framework, the NONA event in Cluj-Napoca brought together local and transnational partners to advance planning for green and inclusive investments in the Cluj metropolitan area.

Field Visits to Pilot Sites
The event included site visits to the NONA pilot locations: Avram Iancu 13–15, Iuliu Maniu nr. 1, and others. These visits provided direct insight into the spatial, infrastructural, and socio-economic contexts where future interventions will be implemented.

Co-working with C-EDU and Urbasofia

Investment Forum Preparation
Participants worked collaboratively to define the structure, objectives, and target audiences of the NONA Investment Forum, aligning on strategic messaging and thematic focus. Particular attention was paid to the integration of urban and rural priorities and the role of participatory governance models.

Strategic Dialogue: NONA and C-EDU
The event concluded with a forward-looking exchange on how NONA and C-EDU can align their efforts around education, innovation, and territorial transformation, strengthening collaboration at the local and regional levels.

Participation in the summit offered a valuable opportunity to position the Cluj-Napoca pilot as a catalyst for inclusive urban regeneration and sustainable rural development, in line with European carbon neutrality goals.
