2nd Steering Committee Meeting Plan-C, Budapest
The 2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the Plan-C project in Budapest marked an important milestone for the partnership, as participants reviewed the results of the project’s first year and jointly defined the key professional tasks for the next period. A central part of the meeting was the First Year Review, during which the Joint Secretariat and the project partners took a detailed look at the progress of the different work packages, as well as management and communication activities. Within Work Package 1, discussions focused on the next steps in developing circular plastics prototypes, preparing demo cases, and drafting the related professional guidelines and dissemination materials. The meeting also addressed promotional materials supporting circularity in the plastics industry, the preparation of the upcoming handbooks, the organisation of the midterm conference, and the development of a transnational strategy to strengthen circularity in the plastics sector. On the second day, partners reviewed the tasks of the machinery-related work package, with special attention to capacity building, guidelines supporting circularity in the machine industry, factsheets presenting life-cycle phases, and the development of circular business models. The meeting also placed strong emphasis on future-oriented thinking, as participants began shaping scenarios for the future of the plastics value chain and a shared vision to support transnational cooperation. Overall, the Budapest meeting helped partners align their professional work, reinforce their common goals, and prepare the key outputs of the project’s next phase.
