Mid-Term Conference, Smolenice

The Plan-C project’s Mid-Term Conference took place in Smolenice at the 10th International Conference on Polymeric Materials in Automotive (PMA 2025) and provided an excellent opportunity for the partnership to present the mission of Plan-C, as well as the project’s achievements and professional progress to date. The aim of the event was to give participants a comprehensive overview of how the project supports the circular transformation of the plastics and machinery industries, while the related expert presentations also highlighted current challenges and innovative solutions in the field of circular economy. The conference featured presentations on biomaterials, the composting possibilities of biodegradable plastics, the transformation of PET waste into sustainable materials, and current results in filament production supporting the circular economy. In addition to the general presentation of the Plan-C project, an interactive workshop also encouraged joint reflection on the future vision of a circular plastics value chain, with particular emphasis on how plastics producers and processors can act as enablers and supporters of a circular machine industry. Overall, the conference served at the same time to increase the visibility of the project, showcase its results achieved so far, and strengthen professional dialogue on circular industrial solutions.
