4th Steering Committee Meeting Plan-C
The event was a two-day professional and partner meeting of the Plan-C project, focusing on reviewing project progress, presenting results related to the circular plastics value chain, and coordinating the next steps and commitments among the partners.
On the first day, the programme started with a welcome by the host, ICMF, followed by a project management session led by Biz-Up, where the current status of project implementation and coordination tasks were discussed. After a coffee break, the partners prepared for the hybrid session with EUSDR PA8 and external participants.
The morning professional session focused on the main achievements of the Plan-C project so far. Participants received a short overview of the workshops already carried out, the target groups reached, and the publications and project materials prepared to date.
The session then continued with three main thematic blocks. In the Plastics Industry block, TZ-Horb presented the key factors and cornerstones of the plastics industry, including its main challenges and opportunities. This was followed by a presentation by aws on the Handbook for a Circular Plastics Industry and the joint plan to boost circularity in the plastics industry.
In the Machine Industry block, UTB Zlin presented the key factors, cornerstones, challenges, and opportunities of the plastics processing machine industry. Afterwards, Clustero introduced the handbook and joint plan aimed at supporting circularity in the machinery sector.
The third block focused on the Plastics Value Chain. TUKE presented the joint vision for transnational collaboration between plastics processors and machine producers, followed by a Q&A session. SPK and Biz-Up then outlined the next steps towards a transnational action plan for integrating circularity across the entire plastics value chain in the Danube Region.
At the end of the morning session, the partners held a recap and feedback discussion for EUSDR PA8 within the Plan-C consortium. This provided an opportunity to reflect on the presentations, discuss key messages, and align on future cooperation.
In the afternoon, the programme focused on internal project work and work package coordination. Under Work Package 2 – Activity 2.3, Clustero presented the current status and next steps. This was followed by a communication session led by Innoskart, focusing on the publication of WP1 and WP2 results, including handbooks, life cycle phases, guidelines, and related communication materials.
The afternoon continued with Work Package 3 activities. TUKE presented the status quo and next steps for Output 3.1, the joint vision for transnational collaboration between plastics processors and machine producers. SPK then presented the status and next steps for Activity 3.3. The day also included a feedback round on the workshops implemented so far by the transregional groups — AT/DE, CZ/SK, HU/SR/BiH, and MO/RO — where partners shared their experiences, lessons learned, and unexpected findings. The first day concluded with a project dinner.
The second day, 20 November 2025, started with welcome coffee and registration. The morning programme continued with Work Package 3 – Activity 3.2, where Biz-Up presented the current status and next steps. Clustero then introduced the plans and next steps for the Final Conference.
After the coffee break, Innoskart led another communication session, focusing on the visibility, dissemination, and publication of project results. The meeting concluded with a wrap-up and commitment session led by Biz-Up, where partners summarised the main outcomes of the meeting and agreed on the next tasks and responsibilities. The event ended with a farewell lunch snack.
Overall, the meeting was an important milestone for the Plan-C project. It enabled partners to present the results achieved so far, discuss circular solutions for the plastics and machinery sectors, review the progress of the work packages, and coordinate the next steps towards a transnational action plan supporting circularity in the plastics value chain across the Danube Region.
