Clusters Meet Regions Event in Chisinau

Around 200 representatives from 11 European countries and beyond attended the Clusters Meet Regions Event organized in Chisinau on 9-11 October by DG Grow via the European Cluster Collaboration Platform in cooperation with UNDP Moldova and the Romanian Cluster Association CLUSTERO.

Circularity stood in focus of the conference powered by the Plan C Consortium. During the plenary session of 10 October, the project approach was presented as a good practice example of cooperation in the Danube Region, while the dedicated Plan C Session of the 11 October, styled as âSustainable Development and Green Clusters”, attracted more than 50 participants from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Georgia, Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, Finland, Germany, Greece into a lively discussion on challenges faced by clusters and companies on the way to circularity with a focus on the plastics industry.

On the eve of the conference, on the 9th of October, Plan C organized a hybrid workshop, hosted by the Moldova Academy of Economic Sciences where various experiences from different partners have been discussed leading to the identification of several pillars of circularity which will be further explored during the project activities, such as Technology, Education, Societal Challenges, Legislation.
