National Networking and Expert Meeting in Romania

12.11.2025 | online

The first Romanian National Networking and Expert Meeting took place the 12th of November, online. It gathered 40 participants from all over the country, covering a large range of target groups.

UAUIM, INCDT and MNIT presented the ROMAN LEGACY project, providing an overview on main objectives, events and outputs, including timeframe, partners and countries involved.

The Romanian project partners presented their proposal for the Thematic Roman Trail as part of the future Cultural Route. The trail would connect the Danube Limes, starting from the Roman site of Drobeta, following the ancient Roman road through the archaeological sites of Mehadia, Teregova, Tibiscum and Zăvoi, to the Roman colony Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa and the Dacian Limes.

At this occasion, we made a step forward into the project by presenting and discussing possible strategies for visibility measures on archaeological sites. The discussions were based on a series of projects made by UAUIM’s students for the roman site of Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa.

The first Romanian National Networking and Expert Meeting put the basis of a strong collaboration between relevant experts and stakeholders and marked an important starting point for the Cultural Route and the Thematic Roman Trail.
