National Networking and Expert Meeting in Serbia
The ROMAN LEGACY stakeholder meeting was held at the Provincial Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, bringing institutions and organisations together to connect, exchange knowledge, and agree on next steps.
Ms. Jelena Prica (Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Co-operation and Local Self-Government) opened the event with an overview of territorial cooperation programmes. Participants were welcomed by Ms. Marija Fenjac, Head of the Section for Projects (PSRDICLSG) and Dr Milena Krklješ, Head of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism (Faculty of Technical Sciences), who briefly introduced the project.
Dr Marina Carević Tomić (FTN) presented the ROMAN LEGACY project, highlighting key figures, partnership, branding and visibility strategy, and other project’s core concept. She concluded by underlining the main objective: applying for certification of the route as the Cultural route of the Council of Europe.
Next, Mr Danko Ćosić and Ivana Samardžić (Danube Competence Center) shared lessons from existing certified routes – The Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route – and discussed the value that certification can bring to destinations.
The meeting closed with a lively stakeholder discussion, strong knowledge transfer, and fresh ideas for future cooperation and network expansion.
