ROMAN LEGACY at the UNESCO World Heritage Day in Regensburg

On Sunday 7 June 2026, the Program ROMAN LEGACY was participating at the German UNESCO World Heritage Day in Regensburg – the city hosting the national opening ceremony in combination with the anniversary of 20 years of UNESCO World Heritage Site „Old Town of Regensburg with Stadamhof“!

The ROMAN LEGACY, represented by project partner Bayerisches Landesamt für Denkmalpflege, the Bavarian State Conservation Office, has presented the Roman Danube Limes together with the History Museum of Regensburg, the company for cultural mediation Cultheca, and the association Society for Friends of Ancient History. At the Danube Limes information desk, visiters could not only find out everything there is to know about the roman-era World Heritage Site, but could also chat with „real“ romans and try their luck at the Danube Limes Tombola. At the end of the day, no Tombola prize were left and all visitors left the desk happy and with new knowledge.
