Creator Call

Explore the #RomansWineDanube Route Through Green Travel Itineraries

Are you a storyteller with passion for culture, heritage, wine and sustainable travel?

Do you enjoy discovering places beyond the usual tourist paths and sharing authentic stories with your audience?

The #RomansWineDanube project invites selected bloggers and digital content creators to join a unique cross-border cultural journey along the Danube River, where Roman history, wine traditions, and green travel experiences come together.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Selected participants will take part in a curated, multi-day green travel itinerary (minimum 5 days) along sections of the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route. The journey combines:

  • Visits to Roman archaeological sites, museums, and historic towns

  • Wine and gastronomy experiences rooted in local traditions and sustainable production

  • Travel using low-emission mobility such as trains, cycling, walking, or other green options

  • Encounters with local communities, winemakers, cultural experts, and heritage professionals

WHAT YOU’LL BE ASKED TO DELIVER

Selected creators will produce digital content that reflects their journey and the values of responsible tourism. Expected contents include:

  • 1 permanent post or article (blog, Instagram pMarkost, Facebook post, etc.) presenting the overall experience

  • Live stories for the duration of the trip (as per the bloggers' choice, covering all the main activities, sharing their personal impressions)

  • 1 short-form video (Reel, Short, etc.), where relevant to your platform

You will also be asked to provide a short feedback report about your experience with the itinerary.

All content must reference #RomansWineDanube, include agreed hashtags and comply with Interreg Danube Region Programme visibility.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for bloggers and content creators who:

  • Create content about travel, culture, heritage, gastronomy, or sustainable tourism

  • Have an engaged and relevant audience (quality of engagement matters more than follower count)

  • Use a storytelling-driven, authentic, and responsible tone

  • Are interested in slow travel, green mobility, and local experiences

  • Are available for a minimum 5-day itinerary

  • Are open to engaging respectfully with local communities and cultural partners

We especially welcome creators who speak to families, young travellers, seniors, accessible travel audiences, and culturally curious explorers.
