DCC Presents Concept for 2025 Training Academy at the Council of Europe’s Cultural Routes Forum in Cappadocia
At this year’s 14th Annual Advisory Forum on Cultural Routes, hosted by the Council of Europe and held in Cappadocia, Türkiye, from 22–24 October, representatives of the Danube Competence Center, Ms. Gordana Plamenac and Ms. Ivana Samardžić, presented the concept for next year’s Training Academy of Cultural Routes within the framework of the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route and the #RomansWineDanube project currently being implemented by DCC as Lead Partner.
The Forum, themed “Cultural Routes and Landscapes: Advancing Heritage Protection through Cultural and Sustainable Tourism,” brought together experts, policymakers, and cultural practitioners from across Europe to explore how cultural routes contribute to safeguarding heritage, empowering local communities, and promoting sustainable tourism.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity to announce that the 13th edition of the Training Academy will be hosted in the city of Pécs (Hungary), accompanied by a field trip to the neighboring city of Osijek (Croatia). This edition will be the first to take place across two cities and two countries, symbolizing the strong spirit of cross-border cooperation and collaboration along the Roman Emperors and Danube Wine Route. The two host cities perfectly reflect the Route’s core values, showcasing Roman heritage in Pécs and wine culture in Osijek.
