#RomansWineDanube participates at Culinary Trail Online Strategic Meeting
On 31 March 2026, Ivana Samardžić (Danube Competence Center), project manager of #RomansWineDanube participated in the Culinary Trail Strategic Meeting with EUSDR Priority Area 3 & Priority Area 8, an online event dedicated to enhancing cooperation and cross-fertilisation across the Danube Region. The meeting brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including policymakers, tourism professionals, project partners, and researchers. During the session, the #RomansWineDanube project contributed to discussions by presenting its key results and ongoing activities, with a particular focus on how cultural heritage can serve as a strong driver for sustainable tourism development. The project highlighted its approach to connecting Roman heritage and wine traditions across the Danube region, while fostering transnational cooperation and creating new opportunities for local communities.
Participation in this strategic meeting further reinforces the project’s commitment to building strong synergies with other Danube Region initiatives. By engaging in such platforms, #RomansWineDanube continues to contribute to a more connected, sustainable, and competitive tourism ecosystem at the macro-regional level. #RomansWineDanube looks forward to further collaboration opportunities and joint actions with the other projects.
