
RTIT First Year Review Meeting Held in Budapest
On March 18, 2025, the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the First Year Review (FYR) Meeting of the RTIT project. The meeting gathered representatives of all the 13 RTIT project partners, the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat (MA/JS), and National Contact Points for the Danube Region Program (DRP) from Montenegro and Hungary.
Reviewing a Successful Year
The meeting was opened with a welcome address from representatives of MA/JS, who provided an overview of the First Year Review process, highlighting its objectives and methodologies.
IEC Tehnopolis, as the Lead Partner, presented a general overview of the project, focusing on overall progress, management strategies, and collaborative efforts among partners. It was noted that the first year of project implementation was highly successful, with no significant delays or challenges encountered.
Key Achievements Across Strategic Objectives
The meeting featured presentations on the progress made within each strategic objective (SO):
SO1: “PLAN!” – Led by BI, this segment detailed the comprehensive planning efforts undertaken, emphasizing structured frameworks and preparatory activities that have paved the way for subsequent phases.
SO2: “Field-test!” – IEC Tehnopolis, the SO2 leader, presented an update on ongoing efforts of the development of the action plan which is currently in progress and emphasized the pilot actions which will be developed afterwards.
SO3: “Sustain!” – CCIS, leading SO3, provided a short insight into planned activities, as most of SO3 activities are scheduled for the ongoing and next stages of the project.
Communication and Financial Considerations
INTERA TP, the communication leader, presented an overview of the project's communication strategy, emphasizing stakeholder engagement and visibility. A dedicated session addressed the financial aspects of the project, with IEC Tehnopolis leading discussions on budget utilization, reporting processes, and planned spending for the upcoming periods.
Forward-Looking Discussions
The meeting concluded with an open discussion session led by MA/JS, providing an opportunity for partners to address outstanding questions and discuss the next steps. Special attention was given to the upcoming activities for the current project year, with a strong focus on the implementation of pilot actions. The First Year Review Meeting reaffirmed the project's success in its initial year, marking a significant milestone in achieving RTIT’s goals. The collaborative spirit and proactive approach demonstrated by all partners lay a strong foundation for continued progress in the upcoming phases.
