Green breakthrough company site visit - Axis Bentonit Ltd.

The Green Breakthrough company visit on 22nd October 2024 provided an in-depth look at the sustainability efforts at Axis Bentonit Ltd., a medium-sized, energy-intensive company. The aim of the event was to offer participants insights into the company’s day-to-day operations, while highlighting the challenges and successes in transitioning to renewable energy sources.

During the visit, attendees explored strategies for reducing production costs and minimising environmental impact through green energy solutions, such as microwave drying and solar power. The event concluded with a roundtable discussion, broadening participants' perspectives on sustainable practices. By showcasing Axis Bentonit’s journey, the event emphasised that sustainability is not only achievable but also beneficial, encouraging other companies to adopt greener practices.
