Online Info Day to Support Green Innovation in Republic of Srpska

The Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska (RARS) organised an online Info Day on 6 February 2025 as part of the second open call, “EENergy 2”, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska and within the framework of the European Enterprise Network (EEN). The project aims to continue supporting the green transition and to improve energy efficiency in SMEs.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the project “Service Centres and the Path to Transformation for a Greater Share of Renewable Energy Use in Small and Medium Enterprises – SMEnergy”, which aligns with the objectives of the newly announced call.

Attendees were also able to select an EEN advisor to support them in successfully completing the application form for the public call. Fourteen SMEs from the Republic of Srpska applied, and results are expected in mid-2025.

In addition, RARS promoted the upcoming public call for investment grants in 2025, issued by the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, aimed at companies that have actively participated in previous SMEnergy project activities.

Announced on 1 March 2025, the call presents an opportunity for SMEs to secure grants for investments in:

  • Transitioning to green energy (e.g. installation of solar panels for in-house production processes)

  • Technological advancement (e.g. acquisition of new production equipment)

  • Combined technological upgrades and green economy initiatives

RARS will continue to offer comprehensive support to local and regional SMEs in the Republic of Srpska through the implementation of the SMEnergy project, facilitating the adoption of renewable energy sources via existing programme activities.
