SMEnergy Info Seminar Held in Bulgaria

The information seminar "New Opportunities to Support the Green Transition of SMEs in Bulgaria", organised by the Business Support Centre for SMEs - Ruse as part of the Interreg Danube SMEnergy Project, showcased the latest trends and opportunities for supporting companies in the field of renewable energy sources (RES).

Held on 23 January 2025 at the University of Ruse, the event introduced stakeholders to the concept of the GEKOS hub, which is being developed in Bulgaria under the SMEnergy project. Participants learned how they can benefit from the services it will offer.

Attendees also explored current funding opportunities to reduce energy costs, including the EENergy procedure, presented by RES Cluster, ASO of the project. Additionally, the University of Ruse introduced the Digital Energy Systems 4.0 Laboratory, highlighting the integration of RES in industry and daily life.

Experts in the RES sector provided practical advice and strategies that participants could implement immediately within their businesses. The event also served as a source of inspiration and motivation for future projects and innovations.
