On 7 March 2024, a specialized workshop titled "RES - Good Practices and New Funding Opportunities" was held in Ruse, Bulgaria, where the innovative SMEnergy integrated methodology was introduced. This methodology aims to provide essential support to energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Danube region, facilitating and accelerating their transition to renewable energy sources.

The event was part of the SMEnergy project, which focuses on establishing service centres and creating pathways for SMEs to increase their use of renewable energy. More than 20 business representatives attended the workshop, which featured highly specialized, qualified, and experienced lecturers from the RES Cluster. These experts shared practical examples of implementing renewable energy solutions for SMEs and demonstrated a special mock-up showcasing four types of renewable energy sources, highlighting the benefits for businesses.

The attendees were notably impressed by the lecturers' expertise and the valuable, first-hand information provided. This was evident from the numerous questions posed to the experts and the new contacts established for further meetings and discussions on renewable energy solutions.

The entire workshop was live-streamed and is available for viewing on the BSC SME’s YouTube channel here
