StoreMore National Workshop and Policy Roundtable in Békéscsaba

22 May Békéscsaba, Hungary

The National Workshop and Policy Roundtable of the StoreMore project is scheduled to take place on 22 May 2026 in Békéscsaba, Hungary, at CsabaPark Bormúzeum.

The event is organised by the Municipality of Békéscsaba within the framework of the StoreMore project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme and co-financed by the European Union.

The StoreMore project, officially entitled “Analysing and promoting energy storage solutions, developing tools to mitigate the intermittency of RES, contributing to an accelerated transition to renewable energy and more balanced electrical grids”, aims to analyse and promote energy storage solutions and to develop tools that address the challenges arising from the intermittency of renewable energy sources.

The project contributes to accelerating the transition to renewable energy and to creating more balanced electricity grids in the Danube Region. Among its key outputs are the development of an energy storage modelling tool and a renewable energy source optimisation tool.

The purpose of the event is to present the main objectives, results and tools developed within the StoreMore project, while also providing an opportunity for professional discussion on sustainable energy storage and related policy issues.

The programme consists of two main parts. The first session will focus on the presentation of the StoreMore project, its main objectives and results, as well as the tools developed within the project framework. The second session will feature a policy roundtable discussion involving relevant institutional, professional and policy stakeholders. The aim of the discussion is to support the formulation of policy recommendations for Hungary to promote sustainable energy storage.
