Advancing Sustainable Energy Storage in Romania - StoreMore Workshop in Romania

In April 2026, an online workshop was organized in Romania within the framework of the StoreMore project, aiming to support the development and implementation of sustainable energy storage solutions. The event brought together energy experts, research institutes, municipal stakeholders, grid operators, and industry representatives to discuss the future role of energy storage systems and the integration of renewable energy sources.

During the workshop, participants were introduced to the results achieved so far within the StoreMore project, as well as to the innovative tools and solutions developed by the project, including energy storage simulation and modelling tools. Discussions focused on the technological, regulatory, and financial challenges related to energy storage investments, while participants also exchanged best practices regarding battery energy storage systems and other sustainable storage technologies.

As an outcome of the workshop, stakeholders highlighted the importance of a stable regulatory environment, further grid digitalization, and stronger support for innovative energy storage technologies. The event contributed to international knowledge exchange and reinforced the role of the StoreMore project in advancing sustainable energy systems across the Danube Region.
