Interreg Danube StoreMore Final Conference in Veszprém

On 8 June 2026, the Interreg Danube StoreMore Final Conference was held at the Veszprém Campus of the University of Pannonia, focusing on the future of sustainable energy storage, the project's key results, and cooperation across the Danube Region.

The conference was opened by Dr. Viola Somogyi from the University of Pannonia, followed by welcome speeches from Dr. Attila Magyar, Vice Dean for Education and Academic Affairs at the University of Pannonia, Ferenc Nagy, Deputy Mayor of Békéscsaba, and Tamás Varga, Deputy Mayor of Veszprém.

One of the highlights of the professional programme was the keynote presentation by Prof. Dr. András Gelencsér, Professor at the University of Pannonia and Member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, who shared insights on sustainability and resource perspectives. This was followed by a presentation from Horst Schindler, Priority Officer of the Danube Region Programme, who introduced the programme's regional perspective.

Participants also gained insight into the key results and messages of the StoreMore project through the presentation of Szécsi Jenő, StoreMore Professional Lead. The StoreMore tools were then showcased by Dr. Tamás Miseta and Luka Herc, highlighting practical solutions developed within the project.
