4th Steering Committee Meeting - 2025.09.23-25 Slovenia

In September 2025, Slovenia hosted the fourth steering committee meeting of the StoreMore project, which aimed to review the progress of research, modeling, and policy activities related to energy storage solutions and to deepen cooperation among partners.

On the first day of the three-day event in Nakló, participants reviewed the implementation of the project's specific objectives, followed by detailed technical discussions on testing the modeling and optimization tools currently under development. During the discussions, the partners shared their experiences to date, identified the necessary fine-tuning, and outlined the next steps. The second half of the day focused on the current status of policy recommendations, and workshops were held.

On the second day, participants took part in a study trip to the Avče Pumped Storage Plant, one of Slovenia's key energy storage facilities. The site visit provided an opportunity for project partners to learn about practical energy storage solutions and challenges in a real operating environment.

On the third day, the group visited the Center for Development, Demonstration and Training for Carbon-Free Technologies in Kisovec, where participants gained a comprehensive overview of the development and application of innovative, carbon-neutral technologies.

The project meeting in Slovenia confirmed that the goals set out in the StoreMore project—in particular, the modeling, optimization, and policy integration of energy storage solutions—can only be successfully achieved through close international cooperation, practical exchange of experience, and active stakeholder involvement.
