Kick off meeting in Pécs
The first day included a workshop on the challenge of circularity in the textile and fashion industries and presentation about joint activities and collaboration between TEX-DAN and GREEN -TEX, after which joined us online Ms Katalin Kovács-Kasza, a project officer who briefly presented the Interreg Danube Programme Joint Secretariat.
In the afternoon all partners discussed presentations of the upcoming activities:
1.1. Identification of challenges in legal backgrounds, regulatory environments;
1.2 Identification of challenges regarding behavioural aspects through workshops;
3.1 Technology mapping, scouting, and collecting good practices and
3.2. Mapping and collecting circular business models in the textile and fashion value chains.
The first day was concluded by the welcome dinner and guided tour across the Pecs centre organised by our splendid host.

Visiting KARMA in Pécs and learning about gloves manufacturing
The second day participants visited KARMA, a local hand gloves manufacturer with circular solutions. After a short trip, a project video was shot, featuring all project partners who gave their perspective of the circularity in textile and fashion industry in their region, their reasons to join TEX-DAN and ways to improve circularity. The meeting was closed by the presentations on communication strategy, management and financial rules and by electing a Steering Committee.
