Strengthening Synergies: ANCHOR Presented at Network4Work Kick-off Meeting

HÁRFA, Lead Partner of the ANCHOR project, recently had the opportunity to present the project at the transnational kick-off meeting of the Network4Work Transfer Network, implemented under the URBACT Programme.

Led by the City of Nyíregyháza, Network4Work aims to support European cities in addressing key labour market challenges—such as skills mismatches, unemployment, limited access to jobs for vulnerable groups, and brain drain. At the core of the initiative is the transfer and adaptation of Nyíregyháza’s URBACT Good Practice, the Local Employment Forum, a well-established multi-stakeholder governance model.

The ANCHOR project closely aligns with these objectives. During the meeting, HÁRFA presented the project’s main achievements to date, including the development of its multi-stakeholder governance approach, ongoing work on the Transnational Strategy, and preparations for pilot actions in partner cities. Particular emphasis was placed on how ANCHOR aims to test and refine governance solutions that can be sustained and further used beyond the project’s lifetime.

The exchange highlighted clear synergies between the two initiatives. Both projects focus on strengthening local labour market governance through cooperation, co-creation, and stakeholder engagement. By sharing experiences, methodologies, and lessons learned, ANCHOR and Network4Work can mutually reinforce each other’s work and contribute to more effective and inclusive labour market policies across Europe.

Looking ahead, this collaboration offers valuable opportunities for cross-fertilisation, ensuring that the results of both projects have a wider impact and long-term relevance.
