Culinary Trail: A Taste of Eastern Europe in Craiova

The Culinary Trail project brought the flavours of 11 European countries and Oltenia's gastronomic heritage to life in an unprecedented initiative. Supported by our project partner @ARoTT and Craiova City Hall, the project offered a unique culinary experience during the Christmas Fair from November 15 to January 15.

Eleven restaurants in Craiova redefined their menus with traditional dishes from countries like Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Hungary, curated with the expertise of local chefs, students, and international specialists. The project also hosted a Gastronomy and Wine Congress, tastings, and workshops, turning Craiova into a vibrant culinary hub.

Every dish, from Turkish eggs to Georgian khinkali, tells a story of tradition, innovation, and the multicultural spirit of Eastern Europe. This initiative elevated Craiova as a year-round gastronomic destination by connecting local resources with global flavours.
