Culinary Trail participated in the Danube Salon 2026 in Berlin
On 5 March 2026, the Interreg Danube Region project Culinary Trail – Culinary Trail of the Ethnic and Local Cuisine in the Danube Region participated in Danube Salon 2026 in Berlin. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with Priority Area 8 (PA8) of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. It featured four selected Interreg Danube Region projects.
Held at the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the Federal Government, the 11th Danube Salon brought together key stakeholders from across the Danube Region. Under the motto “Connecting regions, strengthening cohesion: Economic resilience and reducing disparities in the Danube Region”, participants from politics, business, diplomacy, and international organisations gathered to exchange ideas, foster cooperation, and explore opportunities for regional growth.

At the joint exhibition stand, Culinary Trail showcased the rich culinary heritage of the Danube Region through its digital platform, www.culinarytrail.eu, featuring a comprehensive catalogue of the culinary traditions of ethnic minorities across the region. Visitors also enjoyed a presentation of the traditional Slovenian potica, a beloved dish among Slovenian communities throughout the Danube Region. The project highlighted outputs designed to strengthen regional cooperation and foster cultural exchange.
Participation in Danube Salon 2026 was an excellent opportunity for Culinary Trail to connect with partners, build synergies among Interreg Danube projects, promote regional culinary heritage, and highlight the project’s contribution to sustainable tourism and cultural cohesion across the Danube Region.
