Culinary Trail Presented at the Alpe-Adria Networking Event of SGZ
On 18 September 2025, the project Culinary Trail of the Ethnic and Local Cuisine in the Danube Region was presented at the renowned Alpe-Adria Networking Event, organised by the Slovenian Economic Association (SGZ) – an associated strategic partner of the project with the support of SPIRIT Slovenija.
The Culinary Trail project connects gastronomy, tourism, and cultural heritage in the Alpe-Adria region. Its main objective is to establish a culinary trail of ethnic minorities in the Danube Region, which:
builds bridges between cultures,
strengthens the visibility of local products, and
promotes sustainable tourism based on high-quality cuisine and rich heritage.
The event provided an excellent platform for networking and for introducing the project to a wider audience. Participants had the opportunity to discover outstanding products such as:
wines,
cheeses,
meat specialties, and
craft beers from Austria, Slovenia, and Italy.
Speakers emphasised the importance of close cross-border cooperation in the Alpe-Adria region, particularly at a time when international connections are of great value.
The presentation of the Culinary Trail at the Alpe-Adria Networking Event has opened new opportunities for collaboration and development. The project will continue to foster partnerships, support sustainable tourism, and enhance the visibility of ethnic and local cuisines in the Danube Region.
