Culinary Trail Training Course 2 – Sommelier Beginner Course
The Culinary Trail Training Course 2, titled “Sommelier Beginner Course: Exploring Wine through Local and Ethnic Traditions,” took place online on 20 January 2026.
Organised by ARoTT – Romanian Association for Technology Transfer and Innovation, the one-day training offered participants an in-depth introduction to wine fundamentals, with a particular focus on Danube wines and regional wine traditions. The programme covered the Danube as a wine system, key grape varieties, wine styles and flavour zones, wine labelling and quality, as well as core sommelier tools.
Participants also gained practical insights into structured wine-tasting methods and food-and-wine pairing, combining classical approaches with regional perspectives. Designed for beginners and culinary enthusiasts, the training successfully supported skills development and knowledge exchange within the Culinary Trail project.
