Wine Festival 2025 – Chisinau, Moldova
On September 6–7, 2025, the city of Chisinau hosted the third edition of the Author’s Wine Festival, a two-day celebration dedicated exclusively to the creations of small wine producers. Organized by the Moldovan Small Wine Producers Association, this festival is a tribute to author wines — unique, limited-batch expressions of Moldova’s rich winemaking tradition.
The event took place in the historic courtyard of the National Museum of History, offering a perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Guests enjoyed curated wine tastings, expert-led masterclasses, interactive activities, live music, and a variety of local culinary specialties.
The UPSC Culinary Trail team had the privilege to connect with over 35 talented winemakers, many of whom we had previously visited in Gagauzia TAU during our data collection for the Digital Catalogue, including KaraGani and Winetage Wineries.
This festival offered a rare opportunity to engage with the artisans behind Moldova’s most authentic wines, hear their stories, and experience the unique terroir captured in every bottle.
