Introducing our partners: Alba Iulia Association for Intercommunity Development

AIDA Alba Iulia (Intercommunity Development Association Alba Iulia) plays a key role in advancing sustainable development and energy transition initiatives in the region. Our main focus is on integrating electric mobility into local energy systems to ensure that renewable electricity is used efficiently. The goal is to maximize the benefits of renewable energy while avoiding additional pressure on the power grid — creating a practical and sustainable approach that can be replicated in other regions. Through our activities, we actively support the energy transition by promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency at the local level. We are implementing smart energy solutions in public buildings and community spaces to reduce carbon emissions and optimize energy consumption. At the same time, we invest in awareness and capacity-building programs for residents and local businesses, encouraging sustainable practices and fostering innovation. By working closely with the municipality and regional partners, AIDA Alba Iulia aims to position the city as a model of a low-carbon, sustainable, and inclusive community — where the energy transition delivers tangible benefits for both the environment and its citizens.
