The importance of acceptance

In this video, Ms. Anna Kolb from Lead Partner TZE explains the acceptance level analysis done in the frame of the Danube Indeet project. This activity assesses stakeholder impact and societal acceptance of integrated energy and transport technologies using a socio-technical approach. Acceptance is examined through two complementary methods: 30+ expert interviews across all 10 partner countries and a multinational public survey in the same regions.

The expert interviews were conducted with selected representatives from environmental organisations, policy and administration, media and public relations, and the energy sector to ensure broad professional coverage and in-depth qualitative insights into socio-technical, political, environmental, and economic opportunities and barriers. The survey captures wider public attitudes towards hydrogen integration, e-mobility, electric vehicles as prosumers, and renewable energy expansion. The report presents regional acceptance levels, identifies key influencing factors, and outlines targeted recommendations to strengthen societal support.
