Video series about our partners' perspectives on various aspects of the energy transition - part 8

Introducing our partners: University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing

In this video, Mario Vašak, a full professor at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, introduces the Laboratory for Renewable Energy Systems and explains how their research supports smarter energy management.

The Laboratory, which consists of roughly 25 research and development staff, develops the Danube Indeet Model to manage green energy and electric mobility efficiently. By exploiting the flexibility in electric vehicle charging demands, the model schedules charging to integrate seamlessly with intermittent renewable energy sources while at the same time suggests the optimal local production and storage components sizing and operation. This optimization ensures that the entire system operates with a highly profitable energy signature, balancing environmental sustainability with financial viability.
