Fourth Project Partners Meeting Took Place in Budapest

The fourth project partner meeting of the Danube Wood(s) Route took place in Budapest between 24 and 26 September.

The first evening was spent in an informal gathering, where the partners could enjoy each other's company again and inform each other in small groups about their current activities (organizing peer reviews, filling the website, communication, developing the route, etc.).

On the second day, the participants went on site visit, which, despite the rain, was a lot of fun. The group first headed towards Prédikálószék (what point has a beautiful contemporary wooden lookout and from where, in good weather, it is possible to see as far as Poland), but due to the pouring rain, we could only view the mountains from the bus. Later, the project partners headed towards Dobogókő (is known as the heart chakra of the Earth, where the partnership held its first official working meeting in a wooden ski lodge designed by Imre Makovecz, one of the most famous Hungarian architects of the 20th century. During the meeting, the partnership discussed the route points for each country and touched on the future financing plan for the project. The work was done in a good atmosphere, which the team concluded with a rainy walk before heading back to Budapest.

The project partners gathered in Budapest on Friday for a productive meeting dedicated to shaping the future development of the Danube Wood Route. The agenda opened with a peer review of the attractions proposed for inclusion in the route, leading to the agreement on the final list of partner site visits.

Attention then turned to the regional trainings, where partners discussed in detail the themes that will guide these sessions and ensure their relevance for the stakeholders involved. The meeting also provided an opportunity to introduce the innovation toolbox and to exchange views on the preparation of regional action plans.

Following a short break, the focus shifted to communication and visualization of the route. Partners explored the upcoming promotional tools, with particular emphasis on the image video and the development of a dedicated web application.

The meeting concluded with a session addressing project management matters, ensuring that all partners remain aligned on the next steps.
